Creditors' meetings
Organising, convening and holding effective creditors’ meetings are important skills for an insolvency professional.
This course provides a working knowledge of the different types of creditors’ meetings in corporate insolvency.
Learning objectives
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- Recognise when meetings are held in different types of external administrations
- Apply timeframes for notices and advertisements for the different meetings
- Choose when an alternative method to a creditors' meeting could be used
- Identify and explain quorum and adjournment rules and implement them in practice
- Understand the voting process and determine the outcome of voting on resolutions
